S.C.S. College (Autonomous), Puri is a government organisation of the State of Odisha. Hence, the overall management is guided by the laid down procedure of the State Government. However, an Executive Committee constituted under the guidelines of the U.G.C., the highest policy making body on general administration of the college. In addition, Finance Committee regulates the financial administration; Examination Committee takes decision on examination related matters, Admission Committee in admission matters, Residential Committee in hostel administration, etc. The Principal is the head of the institution and he is responsible for general administration, academic and financial activities of the college. He discharges his duties as per the State Govt. guidelines and under the provision of Orissa Education Act and Rules. The Vice-Principal manages the academic related works and other functions as delegated by the Principal. Heads of the Departments look after their departmental works like class engagement, seminars and project works, etc. Different committees manage the co-curricular and extra curricular activities. The Principal maintains confidential record on the performance of the teaching, non-teaching and ministerial staffs, which is finally appraised by the Department of Higher Education and General Administration Department, Government of Odisha.
There has been considerable development in the infrastructure and learning resources over the years. The physical infrastructure consists of the ‘E’ shaped main building of the college where the teaching departments, one central library, the administrative block and four lecture theatres including a magnificent Hall provide enough space for class, conference and seminars. In addition to this an auditorium has been built where different cultural functions can be organized. Keeping in view the availability of number of rooms and increasing student strength, the time table has been prepared. Time slots have also been made available for seminar activities and project work. The existing infrastructure is utilised to the optimum level, such as, the Auditorium, the College Hall and the Seminar Libraries are not only used for in-house activities but also for cultural activities and extra-mural lectures.The college has large spacious class rooms properly lit and ventilated.
The library has an advisory committee with the Principal as the Chairperson and Professor in charge of library as Vice-Chairman and senior members of the faculty members.

The college has provision for NCC(Men/Women, Army wing) and NSS( Boys & Girls).
The Womens’ Cell of the college has been in operation since 2000-2001. It aims at protecting the dignity and rights of the women students.
In accordance with the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, an Anti-Ragging Cell has been formed in the college.
The Students’ Grievances Redressal Cell has been constituted to receive complaints from students and ensure justice. Students’ Representatives are also taken as members of the Cell along with members of the faculty.
There is an Information Dissemination Cell (Under Right to Information Act) which is meant to disseminate relevant information to any one on matters relating to the college.
The college has an impressive Alumni Association registered which meets annually. It is a major source of strength for the college since many well placed alumni have come forward to assist the Institution in promoting excellence.
After the college attained Autonomy, it has shown remarkable progress and development in all respects. It has revised the existing curricular, introduced new and challenging subjects of learning and has completely overhauled the traditional examinations system. The college has acquired a number of expensive items of equipments. Nearly all the departments, the Office, the Library and Examination Section are equipped with computers and 24 hours broadband internet facility.
*In addition to this the girl students are exempted from tuition fees.
